On the Road
I do most of my
carving on the road in the North Carolina mountains. In Transylvania
County look for my rig set up at Jack
Owens stand around the curve from Toxaway Falls. Jack has Amish
furniture, Cider, Honey, Walking Sticks, and much more. He has the best
boiled peanuts around. Jack also owns Panther Ridge Campground. Jack's
place is in Lake Toxaway, about 20 minutes southwest of Brevard on Hwy. 64.
In Ashe County, I
set up at the intersection of NC 16 and NC 88 on the New River in West
Jefferson. I want to thank Frank Sheets for allowing me the use of this
wonderful location on the river. Frank owns and operates Sheets Gas &
Grocery which is a favorite stop for the many people that float the New River.
He serves lunch and carries a full line of Rocky boots. Stop in and give him a
visit.
My schedule depends on the
weather and my inventory.
This is going to take a while.
Cool bear.
See ya'll later.
Jack
Those peanuts don't last long!
Bear's Den is the best
place to get bears. It has the best bears on earth. (Hunter).
